Family Sharing App Store Listing in Simplified Chinese — Share with Family & Family Plan zh-Hans Copy
Your iOS app or subscription is Family Sharing eligible — shared IAP, family plan positioning, maybe Ask to Buy in your US marketing — and parents on the China App Store still land on an English product page.
Title, subtitle, description, and screenshot overlays that read "Share with Family", "Family Plan", or "Ask to Buy" in Latin script.
Enabling Family Sharing in App Store Connect does not auto-fill a Simplified Chinese (zh-Hans) localization row.
AppLocale writes paste-ready zh-Hans listing copy for those Connect fields — not Family Sharing toggles, not Ask to Buy code, not subscription engineering.
Operator guidance only — no ranking guarantee, not legal advice, not investment advice. Seller: Fortune Insight, LLC.
Western indie iOS developers — US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia — who:
Ship an app or auto-renewable subscription marked Family Sharing eligible in App Store Connect (shared IAP, shared subscription, or family-plan positioning in marketing)
Finished the en-US listing — name, subtitle, keywords, description, and family-oriented screenshot captions — and passed US App Review
Already configured Family Sharing eligibility and subscription tiers in Connect (not looking for setup help)
Enabled the China storefront but the zh-Hans product page still shows English copy or untranslated family-plan badge lines on screenshots
Need paste-ready zh-Hans listing fields — not an engineer for Ask to Buy, not a designer to re-render screenshot PNGs, not subscription pricing strategy
Family Sharing settings vs zh-Hans listing copy — two different jobs
Teams assume Apple's Family Sharing workflow covers language. Connect and iOS actually separate purchase behavior from storefront copy:
Family Sharing eligibility — toggled per IAP or subscription in Connect. Controls whether purchases can be shared with up to five family members. Does not generate Chinese text.
Shared subscription / family plan — subscription group configuration and pricing. Separate from the zh-Hans description paragraph that explains shared access to buyers.
Ask to Buy — parental purchase approval flow in iOS Settings. Your listing may mention it; implementing the flow is engineering, not listing copy.
Pricing and Availability → China — makes the app downloadable on the China App Store. Separate from language rows.
App Store tab → Chinese (Simplified) localization — independent row for title, subtitle, keywords, description, promotional text, screenshots, and caption lines. Empty or English here means China buyers see English fallback regardless of Family Sharing flags.
A compliant US listing with Family Sharing enabled and a localized China listing are both required when you sell on the China storefront — neither replaces the other.
Family Sharing listing copy vs IAP names vs subscription offers
US/EU indie teams often conflate three string families. This page covers product-page listing copy that markets shared access — not purchase-sheet product IDs or offer deal lines:
Listing description & screenshot overlays — paragraphs and frame text explaining "one purchase, up to six family members", "Share with Family", or family-plan value. This page.
IAP / subscription product display names — tier titles on the purchase sheet ("Annual Pro", "Family Plan"). Covered on our IAP localization guide — a different Connect row.
Subscription offer display copy — intro, promo, win-back deal lines beside a tier ("1 month free", "Save 50%"). Covered on our subscription offer guide — not family-plan marketing paragraphs.
You can localize the tier name and still leave every family-plan screenshot overlay and description paragraph English-only. Buyers then see a Chinese title with English "Share with Family" badges — a mismatch that reads like half-finished localization. See also China App Store still shows English when entire rows fall back.
What China buyers see when zh-Hans Family Sharing copy is missing
Household purchasers browsing the China App Store evaluate shared-access value in the first scroll. Common failure modes when only en-US is filled:
English title and subtitle — app name and tagline still Latin script while competitors show native Chinese family-plan positioning
Untranslated family badges on screenshots — overlay lines like "Share with Family", "Family Plan", "Up to 6 members", or "Ask to Buy" remain English on zh-Hans gallery frames
Subscription value in English — description opens with US family-marketing ("One subscription for the whole family") that China readers skim past or misread
Keyword field still en-US — buyers search 家庭共享, 家人共享, 家庭版, or 订阅共享; an English-only keyword row misses China Search intent
Mixed page — Chinese description pasted once but screenshot captions and subtitle still English — reads unfinished next to localized competitors
Formal machine translation — stiff 翻译腔 for "Family Sharing" (家庭共享 vs 家人共享 context) and wrong Ask to Buy phrasing that does not match how Chinese parents read store pages
Better zh-Hans listing copy helps household buyers understand shared access before install. It does not replace Family Sharing configuration, Ask to Buy implementation, or Apple's review decisions.
Family Sharing–specific listing copy — what translates differently
Family-plan listings use vocabulary general utility guides rarely cover. zh-Hans copy should reflect how Chinese household buyers describe shared subscriptions — not a literal paste of US marketing:
Share with Family phrasing
US pages use "Share with Family", "Family Sharing", or "One purchase, whole family." China storefront copy often uses 家庭共享, 与家人共享, or 一次购买全家使用 — depending on whether you mean Apple's Family Sharing feature or a generic family plan. AppLocale aligns phrasing with your actual Connect Family Sharing eligibility, not inventing capabilities your app does not support.
Family plan vs individual tier positioning
Screenshot overlays and description leads reference shared subscription value — one plan for multiple members, shared IAP unlocks, or bundled family access. Chinese buyers expect concrete scope (最多 6 位家人, 一次订阅全家可用) rather than English slogans ("Better together", "Family first").
Ask to Buy mentions
Some listings reference parental purchase approval for child accounts. These are factual product claims in description or screenshot copy — not substitutes for implementing Ask to Buy in iOS, which AppLocale does not engineer.
Subtitle and keyword packing
The 30-character subtitle and 100-character keyword field need family-relevant search terms Chinese household buyers type — see Simplified Chinese keywords & subtitle for field mechanics. Terms like 家庭版, 共享订阅, and 家人 each signal different intent from generic productivity keywords.
Common mistakes on Family Sharing zh-Hans listings
Assuming Family Sharing eligibility localizes automatically — shared IAP flag set; zh-Hans row never added or left blank
Only translating the description — subtitle, keywords, and screenshot caption lines still English
Reusing US "Share with Family" badges verbatim — Latin badges on zh-Hans screenshots signal an unfinished localization
Conflating listing copy with Connect configuration — description explains how to enable Family Sharing in Settings instead of what the buyer gets; setup instructions belong in support docs, not AppLocale scope
Mixing up IAP display names and listing marketing — "Family Plan" pasted as IAP product name when the listing paragraph should explain shared access; see IAP localization for purchase-sheet strings
Expecting AppLocale to toggle Family Sharing — Connect eligibility, shared subscription setup, and Ask to Buy flows are outside listing rewrite
Connect checklist before you order Family Sharing listing copy
Confirm China under Pricing and Availability — storefront enabled if you intend to sell there
Confirm Family Sharing eligibility — note which IAP or subscription products are marked shareable (we do not change these flags for you)
Open App Store → Chinese (Simplified) — note whether the zh-Hans row exists and which text fields are empty vs English placeholder
Export English family-plan copy — current en-US title, subtitle, keywords, description, promotional text, and every screenshot overlay line ("Share with Family", family-plan blurbs, Ask to Buy mentions)
Count screenshot frames — note how many iPhone (and iPad if universal) slots need caption lines
Separate listing from in-app UI — listing rewrite does not cover storyboard strings or paywall screens inside the binary
Plan caption re-export if text is burned into PNGs — Connect caption fields help when overlays are editable; English baked into image files needs design rework outside AppLocale
For one Family Sharing–eligible app on the zh-Hans row, paste-ready Simplified Chinese copy for the listing fields you specify:
Title (name) — zh-Hans app name within Connect character limits
Subtitle — family-plan or shared-access phrasing within the ~30-character cap
Keywords — comma-separated zh-Hans search terms with rationale notes
Description — household-readable body copy aligned with your English family-plan listing meaning
Promotional text — when you include the 170-character promo field in scope
Screenshot overlay / caption lines — zh-Hans replacements for "Share with Family", "Family Plan", "Ask to Buy", shared subscription blurbs, and similar frame text
English alignment — matching en-US field notes when both storefronts must stay consistent on shared-access promises
24-hour turnaround — delivered to the email on your Stripe receipt after checkout and intake
Human rewrite from your current English family-plan listing — not a machine translation dump. Default $79 scope is Connect listing metadata; bundle IAP display names or subscription offer lines via the AppLocale product page if needed.
What AppLocale does not do
Does not enable or configure Family Sharing eligibility in App Store Connect
Does not set up shared IAP, shared subscriptions, or family plan pricing
Does not implement Ask to Buy, parental gates, Screen Time APIs, or purchase-approval flows
Does not write StoreKit code, server-side receipt validation, or in-app paywall UI
Does not design, compose, or re-export screenshot PNG/JPEG assets — caption line sheets only
Does not localize in-app UI strings, storyboards, or the app binary
Does not manage Apple Search Ads, ad campaigns, or monetization strategy
Does not guarantee App Store rankings, family-plan conversion, or download growth in China
Does not operate review-reply retainers or respond to App Store reviews on your behalf
Does not click Save or Submit in App Store Connect for you
Is not QuantRadar, not paid ads management, and not investment or legal advice
Does not invent reviews, ratings, or traffic numbers
How it works
Confirm scope — Family Sharing–eligible app with en-US listing done; identify which zh-Hans fields and screenshot caption lines are still English
Send intake — reply from the email on your Stripe receipt with your App Store listing URL, English family-plan copy (all fields and caption lines), which products are Family Sharing eligible, screenshot frame count, and target locale (zh-Hans)
Receive files — within 24 hours, paste-ready zh-Hans listing fields arrive at your Stripe receipt email
Paste and submit — fill the zh-Hans row in Connect, enter caption lines per screenshot slot, save, and submit the version for review
Does enabling Family Sharing auto-translate my China listing?
No. Family Sharing eligibility, shared IAP flags, and subscription family-plan settings control purchase behavior — they do not create or fill a Simplified Chinese localization row. Empty or English zh-Hans fields mean China buyers see en-US fallback.
What listing fields does AppLocale rewrite for Family Sharing apps?
Paste-ready Simplified Chinese (zh-Hans) copy for App Store Connect listing fields you specify: title, subtitle, keywords, description, promotional text when included, and screenshot overlay or caption lines — rewritten from your English family-plan listing originals.
Can AppLocale configure Family Sharing or implement Ask to Buy?
No. We deliver listing metadata copy only. Family Sharing toggles, shared subscription setup, Ask to Buy engineering, and in-app purchase flows are outside AppLocale scope.
Why do screenshot captions still say "Share with Family" in English on China?
Caption and overlay fields are managed per localization. If you filled en-US screenshot text but never saved zh-Hans caption lines — or uploaded the same English-overlay PNGs to the Chinese set — China buyers see Latin family-plan badges on the product page.
What do I send after AppLocale payment?
Your live App Store listing URL, current English family-plan listing (title, subtitle, keywords, description, promo if used, all screenshot caption lines), which IAP/subscription products are Family Sharing eligible, screenshot frame counts, and target locale (zh-Hans). Reply from the email address on your Stripe receipt — we deliver to that Stripe email within 24 hours.
Will localized Family Sharing listing copy improve Search ranking in China?
We do not guarantee keyword position, chart rank, or install growth. Complete zh-Hans metadata helps household buyers who already found your page understand shared-access value in their language.
How much does AppLocale cost?
$79 one-time via Stripe checkout. No subscription. Seller is Fortune Insight, LLC.
What is AppLocale not?
Not Family Sharing setup in App Store Connect, not Ask to Buy engineering, not subscription or shared-IAP configuration, not screenshot design, not binary or in-app localization, not ads management, not ranking guarantees, not review-reply retainers, not QuantRadar, and not investment or legal advice. We do not invent reviews, ratings, or traffic numbers.
